Why Choose Kissimmee Swamp Tours?
With
the overwhelming choices of Airboat Rides and Airboat Tours out there, you may
be asking yourself why would I choose Kissimmee Swamp Tours for my Airboat
Adventure? Well, Kissimmee
Swamp Tours is located on Lake Kissimmee in Central Florida. Lake Kissimmee is
the third largest lake in Florida, and is one of the few places in Central
Florida that remains untouched, unspoiled and as natural as it was when Florida
was founded. This lake is surrounded by protected wetlands, Florida State Park
and Wildlife Refuge and a working cattle ranch.
We are even part of the "Great Florida Birding Trail" because of the hundreds of
species of birds like bald eagles, osprey, herons, egrets and the endangered
whooping crane and snail kite that make their home here on Lake Kissimmee. Your
Airboat Tour with us will take you to see these endangered species in their
natural habitat.
You will also see the great Florida Alligator. Once endangered itself, it has
made an amazing recovery and when you take an airboat adventure tour with us,
you will see for yourself just how well the alligator is doing. You will see wild deer,
wild pigs turtles, raccoons and so much more. The one thing you wont see on our
tour is houses and buildings on covering the landscape and shorelines.
Another difference between Kissimmee Swamp Tours and other airboat rides in
Orlando, Disney area and Central Florida is the size of our boats. Most other
Airboat Rides in Central Florida use huge multi passenger airboats that can
carry 12 to 20 passengers. This gives you a very slow and impersonal airboat
ride.
Kissimmee Swamp Tours uses smaller boats. Our boat can only carry five
passengers. This allows for more speed when needed, more excitement and a more
personal tour. Each passenger has a special headset to communicate with the
captain as he narrates what you are looking for so you don't miss a single
thing.
Capt. Rob Murchie is licensed with the United States Coast Guard, and carries
all the proper insurance and safety equipment. Kissimmee Swamp Tours operates in
a new Diamondback Airboat. Be sure to check back with us for updates and more
information and contact us if you have any questions, or want to make a
reservation for your next airboat adventure.
